Kara calling Uncle Marc
Kara was in her room playing and out of the blue decided to call Uncle Marc and Aunt Kelly.
We were surprised because we didn't say anything about Uncle Marc. She is clearly fond of her new uncle!

Six Flags
We went to Six Flags last Monday with our friends the Van Akens, and had such a great time! Meghan and I got to ride some of the roller coasters while the guys hung out with the kids. We had such a wonderful time!!!! Kara rode some of the thrill rides in the kiddie area, and had a BLAST! All in all it was a great day with great friends :)
Just Summer
We have had so many play dates, and fun adventures this summer! I am sad that it is almost over :( Anyway here are some random pictures from the zoo with our friend Cole, and Mikala, and just some other randoms :)
Summer Days!
Kara and I also have an ongoing date on Sunday's with her buddy Dylan and my friend Nancy! We met at Gymboree, and the kids get along so well, it's really cute! We try and go to parks, and things after Gymboree on Sunday's or just meet somewhere. We went to Heather Farms park a couple of weeks ago, and Dylan wanted to wear Kara's hat, soo cute :)
Liam and Kara
As you might know, my friend Meghan and I have an ongoing date on Saturdays! We have been meeting just about every Saturday for the past 2 years or so. We are now at the age where the kids like the park A LOT! Kara loves to follow Liam around and copy what he does. It is really cute to watch her try to be "Superman" and "Spiderman" The two of them get along really well, and it is just a lot of fun!
Kara has some sort of fear of sand, so we have been taking them to Civic Park to help her get used to it. She seems to be adjusting more and more each time we go. We love our Saturday play dates :)
Kelly's Wedding
So much has happened since my last blog, most importantly, Kelly is MARRIED!!!!! Talk about a beautiful bride, Kelly looked AMAZING! We had a wonderful time, and Kara was a trooper!
I was a little worried about our flight, as usual, but Kara was a pro!!! She had no problem on the plane, and it was nice that Brian traveled with us this time. When we got to my parents house, the next day we had to drive to South Bend Indiana so the wedding festivities could begin. It was a three hour drive, and us women, Kara, my mom and myself, WON! We beat Brian and my dad! Yes, I am claiming VICTORY!
Anyway, on Thursday we had a great time out for the bachelor and bachelorette parties, at least as far as we can remember..... Thanks again to Grandma and Papa for keeping Kara for the night, lord knows that we were in no condition to parent! The next day we went to the rehearsal. The Chapel that they were married at was amazing! It was in Kelly's old dorm at St. Mary's. I don't believe that we were all feeling up to par, but it was a fine rehearsal none the less. We had a great rehearsal dinner at Houlihans, and Marc's mom made a beautiful dvd for Marc and Kelly that brought the whole room to happy tears! Such wonderful memories for them that she made. Kelly and Marc passed out some gifts for the bridal party - Tiffany necklaces and earrings for the girls, and engraved flasks for the guys! What a fun night all in all.
The wedding could not have been any better! The weather in the morning had us all a little worried, as it was raining, but by the time the ceremony was taking place, it cleared up beautifully. It was not hot at all, the weather was PERFECT. The ceremony was wonderful and very personal. Kara was the most adorable flower girl!! She shocked us all by actually walking down the aisle, carrying her bouquet AND holding Conner's hand!!! If you could have seen her at the rehearsal, you would not have thought she would do it!
After the ceremony we hopped onto a "party bus" with great beverages, and rode around the campus as we got pictures taken in different locations. The reception was AMAZING! Everything looked beautiful, and we all danced the night away, including Kara! She was a little dancing queen! The party continued at Legends, and it was just all too much fun!
Brian, Kara and I were all so honored to be a part of the big day! We had a blast, it was a wedding to remember for sure :)
I will post pictures tonight after I sort through them - there are a TON!
