Snow in Martinez.....
I NEVER in a million years thought that I would pay money to stand in line and go down a small hill of snow, or for that matter, pay money for Kara to play in a small area of snow! Martinez has a snow festival thing every year, and they bring in 20 tons of snow for kids, etc... We went the other day because after Kara saw the snow, it was all that she could talk about. She clearly has some Mommy Midwest in her :) I went down the "hill" on the sled with her, and then we let her play in the snow area. She LOVED IT, had a great time, and didn't really want to leave. We then took her to see Santa. This year she was NOT having it. Cried the whole time. I suppose we all have pictures of ourselves crying when we saw Santa as children, so I didn't feel too bad letting her cry while they took her picture. We had a fun time together, and I can't wait to take her up to Tahoe for the real thing! Brian and I are planning a family weekend get away to the snow, or maybe just a day trip. Either way, can't wait to teach Kara how to make a snow angel.
I will post pictures later, we are having technical difficulties.....

Thanksgiving
This year we went to Julie and Johns house for Thanksgiving. It was WONDERFUL! The food was amazing. Julie made the best sweet potatoes ever, yes I am still talking about them. We had a great time with family. Gramma and Grandpa were up here, and had some time to spend with Kara too. Grandpa's birthday is the day after Thanksgiving, so we were able to celebrate with him. We, Brian, Kara, me, Paul, Gramma and Grandpa, all went to dinner to celebrate Michael turning 46! We had a great visit, as always!

Halloween
Birthday Number 2!!!
Where does the time go, seriously! It feels like yesterday that we were just bringing Kara home from the hospital, tired, nervous, yet utterly over joyed!!! I cannot believe it has been two years since our little "Peanut" has made our family so complete!!!! Her second birthday party was a lot of fun, and we had so many wonderful friends come out for the festivities.
My sister Stacey and nephew Parker flew in to visit us, and help us celebrate. It was a great treat to have them here! Parker has not been here since he was in our wedding, and I am pretty sure he had a great time. Both sets of grandparents also came for the party - Kara is one lucky little girl :)
We had a lot of people over, and unfortunately the weather was not wonderful, but what can you do. I believe that everyone had a wonderful time, regardless. Kara received many great presents and TRULY enjoyed unwrapping each of them....Christmas should be a blast this year!!!!!
Stacey helped me make, what felt like, a million cupcakes, and decorate them as well. All in all it was a great time, and most importantly, Kara had a BLAST!
