Zoo
So, today we took Kara to the San Francisco Zoo. You could say that it was a first for all of us, as Brian and I have never been there before. We had so much fun. Kara loved being carried around in her Jeep carrier, and looking at all of the animals. She was so happy all day, even though it was super windy! It was such a nice outing for our family, and I look forward to more as she grows. It is so much fun with a little one!!!

Berkeley
My friend Meghan, her 2 year old Liam, Kara and I all went up to the Berkeley hills to ride the steam trains yesterday. It is so neat to have Tilden Park just a hop skip and a jump away. We rode the steam trains, fed the farm animals, and rode the Merry-go-round. Kara really enjoyed the steam train, and loved the animals! Here are some pictures of our adventures.

Miggy and Kara

So our cats have not been so fond of Kara since she has come home from the hospital. J.T. just flat out ignores her, and Miggy fights for the attention. Needless to say, they have just not warmed up to her. Well, yesterday Miggy did his "Flop" right next to Kara. He saw her arms wildly flayling and decided to flop right in them. It is his way of showing affection, and it was so precious!!! Here are some cute pictures of Miggy and Kara :)

DFV 2008, California!
What a wonderful Christmas! My whole family came out for Kara's first Christmas, and Baptism, Brian's family was here too! We rode the cable cars in San Francisco, went to Alcatraz, and walked from one end of S.F. to the other, through our favorite Chinatown! It was so nice to have a DFV (DOherty Family Vacation), on my own stomping grounds. I loved having my sisters here, and my crazy little nephew, after all aren't the holidays all about family! Kara enjoyed spending her first Christmas with her Grandma and Papa, and her Grandma and Grandpa. Brian and I loved having everyone here as well.
Sailing!
We took Kara on her first vacation to see her grandparents in Shell Beach! We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect, and we got to go sailing on Grandpa's sail boat!!! We saw lots of dolphins, and a sea lion followed us the whole time. It was a great day to sail!!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa :)
