DFV Does Disney World....Take Two!
This year we had our DFV in Florida, and went to the happiest place on earth!!! DISNEY WORLD!!!!! It was so much fun to watch Kara's eyes light up as she saw the castle, and sooooo many other wonderful sights! She was so excited to meet Buzz and Woody, but when it was finally our turn to see them, she was a bit shy. Can't say that I blame her, they were ENORMOUS in real life!!!
We had a wonderful time, the weather was a bit cold this year, and we had to bundle up as though we were in Il, but that was fine with us! Kara was a trooper, and so were her cousins, Parker and Conner. We had a special pass that allowed us to ride so many rides, thanks to Conner!! I could not believe that the wait for Soarin' was 242 minutes.....no joke!!!!
We had many laughs, and just a blast. Kara really enjoyed Dumbo, Cinderellas Carousel, The Mad Hatter's Tea-cups, the Race cars, Small World, and Pooh's Honey Pot ride. She was not particularly fond of The Haunted Mansion, or Pirates of the Caribbean. She did not cry on any of the rides, just put her hands over her eyes, and wouldn't look - it was really cute.
She loved her Minnie Mouse, eating sweets, staying up late, and just in general having a wonderful time being spoiled rotten on her first trip to Disney World!! She loved being with her Grandma and Papa, Aunties and Uncles, and ESPECIALLY her wonderful cousins Parker and Conner! She got a kick out of Conner, and loved following him around, and loved playing games with Parker too :)
It is so fun to experience Disney World as a parent! Brian and I just loved watching our little girl light up about everything that she saw. We made a point to try and "see" it all! All in all it was a MAGICAL experience!

A blog a day....Can I do it....
Because I have been so neglectful of our blog lately, I am going to try and do a blog a day for a month.....or so.....be kind people! I will start with just a few pictures of Kara at Christmas. I don't want to put a ton of Christmas pictures up, because it's already April, but I will put a few up.
I still can't believe that it is April, seriously where does the time go???
Here are a few Christmas pictures to hold you over until tomorrow evening..... :)

March, REALLY......
I cannot believe I have not updated our blog since December. Things have been crazy I suppose, but I must try to remember to update a little more frequently! I am going to do what my friend Nancy does, I will try to remember to post at the end of every week. She does month, but I am going to try for week. Let's see how long that lasts.
Anyway, the Dobrzensky's have had so much going on lately!!!!! In Dec. we celebrated Christmas TWICE! Lucky us! We had a wonderful Christmas here in California with Brian's family. Everyone came over here to celebrate together. Kara was beyond thrilled when she woke up in the morning. It was a wonderful time spent with family!!! We then flew to Florida on Christmas Eve where we spent another wonderful time with my family! We had a fantastic Christmas dinner at my Auntie Paula's house. We drove to Orlando the day after Christmas where my parent's had rented a house and we stayed there for another 5 days. We spent 4 AMAZING days at Disney World. Kara loved the Teacups, meeting Mickey and Minnie, Dumbo, the Merry Go Round, and so much more. She was a little frightened of the Haunted Mansion, but didn't scream. Brian and I enjoyed watching her eyes light up when she watched the fireworks, when she saw the castle for the first time. It is such a different experience now that we are parents, in a great way! I believe a wonderful time was had by all! It was Kara's first visit, and she LOVED the Castle. So sweet!
January sort of got away from us, nothing too exciting to report back for that month. In February, we celebrated my 33rd birthday! Brian surprised me with an amazing trip to Las Vegas. He got us a round trip flight out of Santa Maria Airport, which is down by his parents. We stayed two nights at the Palazzo hotel and casino. He also surprised me with 5th row, orchestra seats to see "O" WOW!!!! I am one lucky Lady! We had a wonderful time. This was our first "Get away" together since Kara was born. Gramma and Grandpa were happy to watch her for the 2 days that we were gone. They took Kara to see some sea life down in Santa Barbara on the pier, took her to the beach, and the yacht club. I know that they loved having her, and she just loved staying with them!!!
I will be posting pictures very soon of our December/January/February adventures!
Kara is now in a big girls bed, and loves it. She still sleeps like an angel, and we just happen to think she is the best! Her favorite books lately are her Dora books, loves to read them before bedtime! She also loves her "Buzz Lightyear" and "Woody" toys!!!

Snow in Martinez.....
I NEVER in a million years thought that I would pay money to stand in line and go down a small hill of snow, or for that matter, pay money for Kara to play in a small area of snow! Martinez has a snow festival thing every year, and they bring in 20 tons of snow for kids, etc... We went the other day because after Kara saw the snow, it was all that she could talk about. She clearly has some Mommy Midwest in her :) I went down the "hill" on the sled with her, and then we let her play in the snow area. She LOVED IT, had a great time, and didn't really want to leave. We then took her to see Santa. This year she was NOT having it. Cried the whole time. I suppose we all have pictures of ourselves crying when we saw Santa as children, so I didn't feel too bad letting her cry while they took her picture. We had a fun time together, and I can't wait to take her up to Tahoe for the real thing! Brian and I are planning a family weekend get away to the snow, or maybe just a day trip. Either way, can't wait to teach Kara how to make a snow angel.
I will post pictures later, we are having technical difficulties.....

Thanksgiving
This year we went to Julie and Johns house for Thanksgiving. It was WONDERFUL! The food was amazing. Julie made the best sweet potatoes ever, yes I am still talking about them. We had a great time with family. Gramma and Grandpa were up here, and had some time to spend with Kara too. Grandpa's birthday is the day after Thanksgiving, so we were able to celebrate with him. We, Brian, Kara, me, Paul, Gramma and Grandpa, all went to dinner to celebrate Michael turning 46! We had a great visit, as always!
